The dark, grim void illuminates

With bright rainbow blocks

Which collage to create her image.

I stare intently at her enchanting dance:

Forward back, forward back,

Arms extended, up, then down again.

To the left, back, to the right, forward.

I wish I could be beside her.

I can only absorb so much

Of her beauty in half an hour.

Her image fades, replaced by words

That remind me of her fallacy.

I have only so much time

To be with you, my love.

Please don’t fade to black

Your image still burns on my screen.
